What area of fitness do you specialize in?|
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Yoga.
How did you get started in your given field?
I was introduced to Gracie jiu-jitsu by a family friend when I was ten years old and have not stopped since. I was inspired by the simplicity of the techniques and their effectiveness.
I was introduced to yoga when I was eight years old by my third grade gym teacher. I had my first class with adults when I was 11 years old. Since then, I’ve practiced every day.
What motivates you?
Creating a balanced self. When I am balanced, I’m a much better teacher and motivator to others.
These days I am motivated to teach and educate my students in the direction of their desired goals.
What advice would you give to someone who is looking to improve upon their fitness routine?
My advice would be to start with something simple. It’s easier to commit to something that is shorter and less intensive. That could be a set of push-ups, sit-ups or bodyweight squats.
Why are you a fan of City Sports?
I’ve been a big fan of City Sports since I was a little kid. I remember wandering around the store compiling a mental wish list of all the products that I wanted.
I really like the CS by City Sports merchandise the company has put out recently. It’s high quality and affordable at the same time.
Why did you want to become an Elite Athlete?
My brother, Ricardo Migliarese, and I like to be aligned with companies and people with similar values. We like the fact that not only is City Sports looking for the best product, but the best athletes that put the products to use.
What is your favorite gear to work out in?
I do a lot of yoga in Brazilian jiu-jitsu with compression gear. It’s important to both of these disciplines to keep your body warm and your skin protected.
