Our July partnership with Reebok CrossFit Back Bay is off to a sweaty start! For the past 2 Wednesdays a brave group of athletes have taken to the North End Greenway for a sampling of the high intensity, full-body workout that CrossFit delivers. Both Michael (RCFBB Owner) and Lauren (RCFBB Coach) took a turn instructing participants on proper form for various bodyweight resisted movements (burpees, high knees, jumping jacks, air squats, butterfly sit-ups and lunges) and leading the group through a challenging workout. Week one had us chipping away at 15 rounds of 15 lunges, 10 air squats & 5 burpees, all while patriotic music blared from the outdoor sound system. Week two dished up 2 servings of air squat sandwiches (20 air squats, 20 lunges, 20 air squats, 20 burpees, 20 air squats, 20 sit-ups, 20 air squats).
I can’t speak for everyone, but around our office the camaraderie between fellow hobbling colleagues is tangible. Great work to all who have joined us and a warm welcome to anyone interested in coming out next week! Details can be found here!
